How to start Polar Studio and create an application

Since Polar Studio is fully web-based, you do not have to install anything on your computer to develop with Polar Studio. All you need is a browser. Simply navigate to: management.polarstudio.com and log in. If you don't have an account, you can create an account here.

Start Management.PolarStudio.Com

Within the management environment, you can manage all your Polar Studio applications. Here you can create new applications, remove applications, deploy applications etcetera.

Add an application

To add a new application, you can best use the new application wizard. In the menu at the top, choose 'Application... New application...'

The 'Create a new application' wizard looks like this:

In this wizard you must enter the following info:

• Choose the template for the new application or choose to create a copy of one of your saved applications.
• Enter the name and the code for the application. The code will be part of the URL and cannot be changed once the application is deployed on the server.
• Choose which database to use. Here you can choose to create a new (empty) database or to one of your existing databases.
• After you have entered all details, you can review and confirm your choices in the 'Create' tab.

The applications you have created will be listed on in the 'Quick start application' panel on the home page of the Polar Studio Project manager.
